Hiking Trails

The Central Algoma Land Trust offers two public hiking trails that are open year-round. These trails provide visitors with an opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the region, observe local wildlife, and enjoy fresh air and exercise in any season. The trails welcome people of all ages and skill levels, whether they are seeking a peaceful stroll, birdwatching, or a more vigorous hike.

Foster Parkland and Walking Trails

The Foster Parkland and Walking Trails are 3.5km worth of hiking trails that are always open for the public to enjoy. They can be snowshoed during the winter months. The trailhead can be found at Central Algoma Land Trust Conservation Centre, located a 69 Boyer Drive in Desbarats, Ontario.

Gravel Point Preserve Hiking Trails

The Gravel Point Preserve has about 4km worth of trails that are always open for the public to enjoy. The trailhead will is located along Highway 548 in Hilton Township on St. Joseph Island, Ontario, which is approximately 3km south of Forbes Community Park in Hilton Beach.
