LEAVE A LASTING LEGACY
Legacy Circle
The Central Algoma Land Trust’s vision is to “inspire all members of the Central Algoma region to embrace positive conservation values that will promote the protection and preservation of natural ecosystems for all generations.”
This important work is a long-term commitment. While the land trust relies on annual donations for many short-term operating needs, achieving its long-term vision requires long-term support. That is why everyone is encouraged to consider including the Central Algoma Land Trust in their estate plans.
About the Legacy Circle
A legacy gift in an estate plan helps sustain the Central Algoma Land Trust and our promise to preserve the land and water of the Central Algoma region for generations to come. It is a meaningful way to make a lasting impact on a cherished landscape.
Joining the Legacy Circle is simple and does not require a large gift, only a thoughtful one that reflects a commitment to the natural environment. Whatever the amount, every legacy gift helps protect this special place for the future.
Legacy gifts from generous supporters have already made a significant impact in realizing this shared vision. These gifts have helped accomplish major milestones such as the construction of the conservation centre, the protection of ecologically sensitive lands, the establishment of an annual conservation award for a Sault College student, and the strengthening of both the Stewardship Fund and the Operational Endowment Fund.
"Being a member of the Legacy Circle is easy and it doesn’t require that a vast sum be set aside. It just lets your heirs know that you care about sustaining the natural environment of this beautiful area." — Libby O'Connell, Legacy Circle Member
