Welcome to the Central Algoma Land Trust
=
Effective Summer 2025, The Kensington Conservancy has rebranded as the Central Algoma Land Trust and has their focus area expanded to serve all of the Central Algoma region. Central Algoma is home to a diverse landscape of forests, wetlands, rivers, and shorelines that provide essential habitat for thousands of plant and animal species. Many of these areas face increasing pressures from development, climate change, and habitat fragmentation. The organization is well-suited to serve this region, with deep roots in the area through established conservation projects, strong community partnerships, and a proven track record of protecting ecologically significant lands. Its outreach, education, and stewardship efforts already span Central Algoma, positioning it to take on a broader role without the need for a new organization to fill this gap.
U.S. Donors
U.S. taxpayers who wish to support the work of the Central Algoma Land Trust while receiving U.S. tax benefits are encouraged to donate to the Friends of Central Algoma Land Trust. This U.S. based nonprofit organization is committed to supporting land conservation efforts in the Central Algoma region and regularly provides financial grants to the Central Algoma Land Trust.
