The Central Algoma Land Trust has adopted a 3km stretch of Highway 17 between Smith Road and Kensington Road, just west of Desbarats. By joining the Adopt-A-Highway program we carry the responsibility of helping keep the area clear of litter and garbage. In the spring we successfully cleaned a section of the road and we are planning another event this fall to tackle the other side of the highway. We are looking for volunteers to help us with this initiative and make a positive difference in our local community!
