Archibald Homestead Parking
The Central Algoma Land Trust provides access to the Archibald Homestead for owners of boat-access-only cottages. Please note that the portions of Archibald Road that pass through the Archibald Homestead are private, and permission from the Central Algoma Land Trust is required to use them.

For questions or concerns related to the maintenence of Archibald Road or the parking area, please contact Corinne at corinne@calt.ca.
The fee is $225 per cottage per year to park at the Archibald Homestead. This should be paid in advance of using the parking lot for the season. These fees help cover the yearly maintenance costs of Archibald Road.

Payments can also be dropped off or processed at the Central Algoma Land Trust Conservation Centre at 69 Boyer Drive in Desbarats during our regular hours.
Liability
The Central Algoma Land Trust is not liable for any damages or theft that occurs as a result of using of the Archibald Homestead. Do not leave items of value in vehicles or boats.
License Plates
Please provide license plate number(s) to the Central Algoma Land Trust to help with monitoring parking usage at the Archibald Homestead.
Guests
Guests are permitted to use the Archibald Homestead for parking without an additional fee. Please provide the Central Algoma Land Trust with the license plate number(s) of your guests' vehicle(s) in advance.
Boat Launch
The boat launch is available for use at your own risk by anyone who has paid their parking fee for the year or has otherwise received permission from the Central Algoma Land Trust. It is not a public boat launch.
Docks
The Central Algoma Land Trust does not own, maintain, or manage any of the docks on the Archibald Homestead. Please do not use any docks unless permission is obtained from its owners. No additional docks are to be installed unless permission is granted by the Central Algoma Land Trust.
Dogs
The Archibald Homestead is a nature preserve. All dogs must be leashed at all times, no exceptions.
Trailers
Boat trailers (or any other type of trailer) must never be left in the vehicle parking area. They are to be stored further south along Archibald Road in the open area on the west side. Please refer to the map below. This is to maximize the amount of space in the vehicle parking area.
