The Central Algoma Land Trust’s annual campaign helps protect forests, wetlands, and shoreline habitats that are vital for wildlife and the community. Donations ensure that more land can be conserved for future generations while also supporting ongoing stewardship of existing protected areas. Every gift contributes to keeping Central Algoma’s natural landscapes healthy and accessible.

If you are looking to make a donation that is eligible for U.S. tax benefits, please visit the Friends of Central Algoma Land Trust website here.

Conservation work in the Central Algoma region is a long-term commitment. While this work relies on annual donations for many short-term operating needs, achieving its long-term vision requires long-term support. That is why individuals are encouraged to consider including the Central Algoma Land Trust in their estate plans.

For those planning to include the Central Algoma Land Trust in their estate, estate planners typically request the following information to set up a bequest:

Organization: Central Algoma Land Trust
Address: 69 Boyer Drive, Desbarats, Ontario P0R 1E0
Registered Charity Number: 874003817 RR0001

Our name has changed, but our mission has not! The Central Algoma Land Trust (formerly The Kensington Conservancy) continues to grow as an organization. Over the past few years, we have been very successful in establishing new preserves, safeguarding important habitats for wildlife and ensuring that future generations can enjoy the natural beauty of our region. Our community education and research projects are very popular, and there are many more exciting opportunities in the works. We need your continuing support!

Naturally, growth creates the need for additional resources to manage these lands and programs responsibly—and that requires increased funding.

For this year’s Annual Campaign, I am asking that you consider increasing your donation (or to make your first one!) to help us continue this important work.

Thank you for your generosity and for your commitment to local conservation!

Sincerely,

Letter From the President
